2011 year and the CG world

Hi all and a late happy new year to you in January.
I have recently been flipping thru my mind and the mind of others... hows that possible anyway... well somehow and it got me thinking and imagining what the CG world has to offer in the year 2011... yes there are a few animated features that are expected to be due for release between January and December 2011, and some of them you may already know.
I will attempt to outline the few i have been able to find out from some other fellas article and also the ones that i might have been opportune to know about on a personal level.
First of all i am gonna begin with Africa, there are a couple of 3d features to look out for i guess, however at the moment i know of -
1. Lion Of Judah - (an Easter story) in stereoscopic 3d.
- To be released by Animated Family Films, produced in South Africa at Charactermatters Animation Studios,Capetown.
Directed by Deryck Broom, fun to work with.
Expected release date is February 25th 2011 in the US and in Africa, by the way i like to mention that i have been privilege to work with this studio sometime in the recent past. You get to hear the voice of Michael Madsen, amongst others
Next on this list is the highly anticipated feature, still in production stages anyway, animation will end in about 2 weeks time from information i gathered but regardless of this fact, watch out for the biggest 3d animated feature in Africa and also from South Africa, coming out in stereo 3d is ZAMBEZIA.
2. Zambezia - (a story of birds telling us that ''no bird is an island'')
- To be released sometimes in 2011 in the US and Africa aswell, animation work and production at Triggerfish animation studios, Capetown. Directed by Wayne Thornley (as far as i know)
I will feed you guys more information as i get it and possibly an interview with the team.
Its funny when i say with ''the team'' cos i have always been part of the team since 2007 until a newly employed bossy lady happened to me, coupled with a few indiscretion from management and so it appeared i had to leave in order to save my self-worth, however everything happens for a reason and my understanding of this fact this makes me no longer bitter about the experience but be thankful for the years spent there with friends and fellow animators.
Music composed by a budding but passionate screen music writer Bruce Retief.
Now lets go over to the bigger industry...
1. Evangelion 2.0 - Eleven Arts
For release on Jan. 21
Directed by Masayuki and Kazuya Tsurumaki and shepherded by series creator Hideaki Anno.
In this adventure, a new Evangelion pilot takes the helm in the continued battle against the Angels
2.Gnomeo and Juliet - Touchstone.
To be released for Feb. 11.
The pet project of Sir Elton John was originally in development at Disney, but John eventually took over the rights and is producing it through his Rocket Pictures.
Directed by Shrek 2 director Kelly Asbury.
Voices include James McAvoy, Emily Blunt, Jason Statham, Maggie Smith, Michael Caine, Patrick Stewart and Julie Walters.
3. Rango - Paramount.
Release date is March 4. Directed by Pirates of the Caribbean's Gore Verbinski. Animated by visual effects house ILM
Johnny Depp voicing a chameleon with an identity crisis. You wont wanna miss that would you?
I need to take a break now but the list continues and i will update the space in a few hours.
Enjoy.
